Job description:
As a Dockside Crane Operator, you'll operate cranes at port facilities to load and unload cargo from ships. Responsibilities include handling various types of cargo, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining communication with dock workers and vessel crews. Familiarity with port operations and safety protocols is essential.
Requirements:
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to read and interpret load charts.
- Ability to maintain detailed logs and reports.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
Responsibilities:
- Follow load charts and lifting capacities.
- Communicate with the ground crew.
- Report any malfunctions or issues immediately.
- Understand and follow lift plans.
- Coordinate with site managers and other operators.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Intermediate English.
- Age up to 60 years.
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
