Job description:
Seeking a dedicated Fire Truck Driver/Operator to join our fire department team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining fire apparatus, ensuring all vehicles are ready for action. You will also conduct pump service tests, manage resupply operations, and assist in firefighter training. Temporary assignments as Lead Firefighter are possible for those who are properly certified.
Requirements:
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Continuing education in emergency vehicle operation.
- Certification in emergency vehicle operation.
- Flexibility with working hours.
Responsibilities:
- Use emergency lights and sirens to alert other drivers and pedestrians.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Monitor water levels and pressure during firefighting operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of fire trucks and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with incident commanders and team members.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Conversational proficiency in English.
- Age up to 60 years.
- Diploma/certificate (optional).
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
