Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elderly Caregiver to provide high-quality care and support to our senior clients. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and a strong ability to foster meaningful relationships with seniors. Your role will be essential in enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Requirements:
- Ability to connect with clients on a personal level and build trusting relationships.
- Ability to work with clients who may have cognitive or physical limitations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and effective care.
- Good physical health and ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to providing consistent and reliable care.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in meaningful conversation and social interaction with the client.
- Take proactive steps to prevent falls, injuries, and accidents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for the client.
- Document medication administration, vital signs, and any incidents or concerns.
- Promote healthy eating habits and ensure proper food storage and handling.
- Encourage and support physical activity and exercise within the client's capabilities.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
- Ensure medications are taken correctly and at the prescribed times.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Intermediate English.
- Age up to 60 years.
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
