Job description:
We are looking for a skilled Fire Truck Driver/Operator to support fire operations at our base. Your primary duties include driving and operating various fire vehicles, maintaining equipment, and performing fire suppression tasks. You will also assist in training other firefighters, ensuring all apparatus are in top working condition, and supporting the overall safety of the base. Certification as a Fire Officer I is required.
Requirements:
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Physical stamina and fitness.
- Knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Continuing education in emergency vehicle operation.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously improve firefighting skills and knowledge of fire suppression techniques.
- Operate pumps and hoses to extinguish fires.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Follow traffic laws and regulations, including driving at high speeds when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of fire trucks and equipment.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Conversational proficiency in English.
- Age up to 60 years.
- Diploma/certificate (optional).
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
