Job description:
As a Fire Truck Driver/Operator, you will be a vital part of our fire safety operations, responsible for driving, operating, and maintaining fire apparatus. This role involves regular vehicle inspections, pump service tests, and participation in emergency response activities. You will also assist in training personnel and may act as Lead Firefighter when qualified.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Good communication skills.
- Certification in emergency vehicle operation.
- Willingness to undergo background checks.
- Continuing education in emergency vehicle operation.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold ethical standards and professional conduct.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors.
- Follow traffic laws and regulations, including driving at high speeds when necessary.
- Drive defensively to ensure the safety of crew members and the public.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of fire trucks and equipment.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Conversational proficiency in English.
- Age up to 60 years.
- Diploma/certificate (optional).
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
