Job description:
As a Fire Truck Driver/Operator, you will play a crucial role in our fire response team, driving and operating specialized vehicles in emergency situations. This role requires maintaining essential fire suppression and rescue skills, performing equipment checks, and participating in training exercises. You must be certified to operate all fire vehicles on base and may serve as Lead Firefighter when needed.
Requirements:
- Continuing education in emergency vehicle operation.
- Knowledge of local roads and routes.
- Flexibility with working hours.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and fitness.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor water levels and pressure during firefighting operations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of fire trucks.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with incident commanders and team members.
- Use emergency lights and sirens to alert other drivers and pedestrians.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Conversational proficiency in English.
- Age up to 60 years.
- Diploma/certificate (optional).
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
