Job description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Elderly Caregiver to provide in-home care and support for elderly individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. The Caregiver will create a safe and comfortable environment while promoting the physical and emotional well-being of their clients.
Requirements:
- Ability to safely transfer and assist clients with mobility needs.
- A calm and patient demeanor, even in challenging situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to connect with clients on a personal level and build trusting relationships.
- Familiarity with the challenges and needs of the elderly population.
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Engage in meaningful conversation and social interaction with the client.
- Observe for any side effects or adverse reactions and report them promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for the client.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals and snacks that meet the client's dietary needs and preferences.
- Accompany the client and provide assistance as needed.
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and the use of mobility aids.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Intermediate English.
- Age up to 60 years.
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
