Job description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Elderly Caregiver to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our clients.. As an Elderly Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly clients with daily living activities while promoting their independence and dignity. You will provide personal care, companionship, and assistance tailored to the unique needs of each individual in your care.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the aging process and the challenges faced by older adults.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to providing consistent and reliable care.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A genuine desire to help and care for others, especially the elderly.
- Good physical health and ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
- Familiarity with the challenges and needs of the elderly population.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals and snacks that meet the client's dietary needs and preferences.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards in the home.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and dusting.
- Help prevent falls and injuries through careful assistance and monitoring.
- Provide emotional support and a listening ear.
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with administration, as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
- Document medication administration, vital signs, and any incidents or concerns.
- Help maintain personal appearance and cleanliness.
Additional requirements
- A valid passport for at least 2 years.
- Intermediate English.
- Age up to 60 years.
Accommodation and support
You will be met at the airport or bus station. Afterward, you will be accommodated in a hostel, apartment, or house, depending on what the employer rents for the workers. You will be provided with work clothes for free and transportation to work.
